Raven's Call (poem)

By Me Myself and I

Eagle save me from this place
Where darkness falls and all must go
Hawk with you keen eyes there
Look and see the man who brought me here
He stands erect by the door
With a raven on his shoulder

Robin still me from this place
Where darkness falls and all must stay
Finch with feathers yellow and light
Bring the sun so it can shine
Here where darkness falls and everyone goes
With a raven keeping watch with dark eyes that show

Falcon leave me in this place
Where darkness falls and I must stay
Nightingale sing my soul to sleep
So it can dream of better days
With wind in my face and swift in my heart
But I am here and here to stay

Jay, Falcon, Robin, Eagle fly away and leave me
Where darkness falls and I must stay
I miss you hawk, I miss you finch and nightingale
I love you swift and before the raven calls me there
I love you now as I loved you then and I’ll love you
When the raven calls me there

Raven take me to that place
Where darkness falls and all must stay
For your masters call so clear and true
Has brought me here and thus to you
A raven’s call shall bring me home
To deaths door and thus alone
An tell that day when all is right
When all shall come with mornings Light

Late Moments at Our House

One night I decided I couldn't wait tell morning to find out where Prince Caspian (the movie) was. So I woke up the Piano Man to find out where it was at 10:30, an hour after his bed time. Here is how the conversion went.
"Piano man where's Prince Caspian?" I said
mumbling piano man answers “I don't know"
Not taking that as a answer I ask again “where’s Prince Caspian?"
More legible but still mumbling (he mumbles all his answers) he says “I don't know"
"piano man, where is Prince Caspian?" now I'm getting frustrated
"on the heater" now I was getting somewhere
"okay, which heater?"
"The big one"
"Piano man, that doesn't help. Which one?"
"The big one. In the dining room."
"There isn't a big heater on in the dining room."
" Yes there is. The one that dry's clothes."
"Do you mean the dryer?"
"NO! it's on the big heater in the dinning that dry’s clothiers!"
"Do you mean the sewing machine?"
"NO! IT IS THE BIG HEATER IN THE DINNING ROOM THAT DRYS CLOTHS!"
Annoyed sigh "piano man where is Prince Caspian?"
"Oh! I don't know."
"Thanks piano man you were absolutely no help."
"You’re welcome" he fell back asleep as soon as I turn off the light.

That is your tipicle Piano man at all hours of the day.

I'm a Sonnet

I am the sonnet, never quickly thrilled;
Not prone to overstated gushing praise
Nor yet to seething rants and anger, filled
With overstretched opinions to rephrase;
But on the other hand, not fond of fools,
And thus, not fond of people, on the whole;
And holding to the sound and useful rules,
Not those that seek unjustified control.
I'm balanced, measured, sensible (at least,
I think I am, and usually I'm right);
And when more ostentatious types have ceased,
I'm still around, and doing, still, alright.
In short, I'm calm and rational and stable -
Or, well, I am, as much as I am able.
