The Bug on the Third Branch

I had to do a writing assignment, written from the point of view of an bug. Feel free to correct in comments.

The Bug on the Third Branch

Hello, come in. Come in from that frightful cold. My name is Bane, otherwise known as the bug on the third branch. I use to live in a grand old maple tree. It was great, it got just enough sun but not too much, and the tastiest syrup you’ll find in miles. With the friendliest animal you’ll find, so kind and most of the time you don’t even have to say a word. Especially if you talk to Miss Squirrel, she would chatter on about the weather, an acorn she found the other day, or her favorite subject was Mr. Red Squirrel. He was a handsome fellow but very shy. He lived three trees down and always trying to get Miss Squirrels attention. I remember they courted for three seasons before they married, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow.

Now Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow where a lovely couple. I think they had eight children all together, each and every one of them delightful, with beautiful singing voices. They lived three branches up from me, constantly singing to themselves, to each other, and well, to everything. They come over once-in-awhile to tell about places they’ve been. And the children of Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel come too.

But any way, you are probably wandering how I came to live with Miss Mouse and her family. Well this how it came about.

A few seasons back they came, the giants, with there noise makers. First they took Grandma Owls home. They were cutting the tree limb by limb. They could not hear her cry out in pain and lose. Then they cut off Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow’s home, and yet again she cried out in pain and lose. Yet the giant could not hear her cries. Then the giants cut down miss squirrels home. They could not hear her or our cries of lose of are friends as they moved. Then my branch, my beautiful branch the third one up. They cut her down with sap so good. By then she stopped crying out in pain and gave up, for her life was done. But now new trees grow in her place. Her children young and strong, that my friend, is how I can to live with miss mouse and her family. Still known as the bug on the third branch.

A beautiful sunset here at home.

It turned out purple. But I think it adds to the look.

A Saying From Squshy

One day when we had family over. We kept shushing Squshy, because Miniature Giant was asleep. After he woke up, Squshy kept going around shushing everyone else.
Finally Dory asked, "Why do we need to be quiet? Miniature giant is awake."
Squshy indignant said, "sh... sh... My foot asleep"
